Guttering, Fascias & Soffits in Henleaze
Leaking joints, sagging runs, blocked outlets and rotten boards replaced, so rainwater leaves your roof the way it should.
What goes wrong at the roofline
Dripping joints
Seals perish, and water drips down the wall instead of along the gutter. Damp patches on an inside wall can start here.
Sagging runs
Brackets spaced too far apart, or fixed into soft fascia, let a gutter sag so water collects in the dip.
Blocked gutters and downpipes
Leaves from gardens, the Downs and the street trees fill gutters quickly in autumn.
Rotten fascias
Timber fascias hold the gutter and the bottom row of tiles. Once they rot, both are at risk.
Worth knowing
Cast iron on older houses
Some older houses still have cast iron gutters. In a conservation area, keeping or matching them may matter. We can repair or replace like for like.
Clearing is maintenance, not a repair
A gutter clear once a year, after the leaves have fallen, prevents most overflow problems.
Check the eaves while you are up there
Replacing fascias is the right moment to fit eaves protection and check the bottom tiles.
Guttering FAQs
Do you clean gutters?
Yes, and we check the joints and brackets while we are there.
uPVC or timber?
uPVC fascias and soffits are low-maintenance. On some houses in conservation areas, timber is the better match. We will advise.
