A written document that sets out what is covered, for how long and what you need to do to keep it valid. Not a verbal promise.
How the guarantee works
In writing
You receive the guarantee as a document when the work is finished and paid for. Keep it with your house paperwork.
Specific to your job
It names the work we did on your roof, so there is no argument later about what was covered.
Twenty years
The guarantee period on qualifying work is twenty years. The document states which work qualifies.
Transferable questions
If you sell the house, ask us how the guarantee applies to the new owner.
What a guarantee cannot do
It covers our work
A guarantee on a repair covers that repair, not the rest of an old roof around it. We will tell you if the rest of the roof is a risk.
Damage from outside causes
Storm damage beyond normal weather, accidental damage and other trades working on the roof are normally excluded. Read the document.
